14th Annual Elvis Festival

Not sure what was more entertaining, the multitude of Elvis impersonators or the super fans.  There wasn't a shortage of either.  With two main stages, it was elvis-palloza for the 14th straight year at the OC fairgrounds.

At the Crème De La King Stage we caught the end of the Elvis battle of the impersonators, including a thrilling award ceremony.  High point was an elderly woman pushing the photographer out of the way to see her favorite 70's jumpsuit Elvis claim his trophy.

On the main stage, we caught the end of a duet between a 5-year old Elvis and his adult counterpart, which was pretty awesome, but we stayed to watch the Blues Brothers/young Elvis duo performance that had the ladies swooning and throwing towels at the stage.  Dancing on the side of the stage was a country-clad couple that looked like they had been dancing together for over 50 years.

There was just too much to take in for the few short hours we were there.  Next year, we'll be there bright and early to get the full Elvis experience.
